This salt is crystalized by slowly heating seawater with steam spewing from the ground on the volcanic island of Aogashima. Use it in your cooking to bring out the sweetness of ingredients and set off their flavor. It is great for foods that can be enjoyed simply with salt such as tomatoes, tofu, and onigiri (rice balls).
