Tokyo one day trip VOL.13 Exploring Tachikawa City, a town where city and nature intersect. Tokyo one day trip VOL.13 Exploring Tachikawa City, a town where city and nature intersect.

Tachikawa City is very popular for its easy access to the center of Tokyo.
It is also a comfortable place to live alongside nature.
I live close to the city so I know very well.
I explored Tachikawa City this time, where I found a lot of attractive things.

01 Farmers Center Minore Tachikawa 01 Farmers Center Minore Tachikawa

The first stop-off was the Farmers Center Minore Tachikawa where local vegetables and meat are available. They sell vegetables, meat, and eggs produced in Tachikawa. Everything looked great! I really enjoyed a substantial yet subtle sandwich made with locally grown vegetables and Tokyo Yawaraton! The price was surprisingly reasonable considering the high quality! Also, the soft-serve ice cream made with Tokyo Milk was super tasty.

02 GREEN SPRINGS 02 GREEN SPRINGS

A wonderful spot within a 10-minute walk from Tachikawa Station! With a lovely cafe and garden, and a stylish bar, it seemed like a place where you might relax with family, on a date, or just by yourself! I enjoyed Rose Lemonade from FLOWERS BAKE & ICE CREAM, which features edible flowers on its menu! The place has a chic and green-rich environment and also plenty of playful designs when you look carefully. I heard that Tama products, wood from Tokyo, was used for the eaves of the building. I fell in love with this facility because it is so stylish. This was my first time to get to know this wonderful place even though I have been living in the neighborhood for some time. I will definitely come back again!

The Tamashin Art Museum is located on the grounds of GREEN SPRINGS. Tama products were also used inside the building, including the ceiling, which has a sophisticated ambiance with a simple design that creates a sense of depth. The spotlights illuminate the art works in a calm atmosphere to make it easier to enjoy them, which tells us they care about visitors in every detail. There are so many art works from various countries; it was a profoundly interesting time.

04 Handmade Soba Kanzouan 04 Handmade Soba Kanzouan

My day enjoying Tachikawa City is almost over. I need to fill up before heading home! This time, I visited Handmade Soba Kanzouan where you can enjoy cuisine made with ingredients produced in Tokyo. I was smothered in a inviting aroma from the moment I walked into the relaxing ambiance. I enjoyed their soba with eggs produced in Tokyo and salt from Aogashima that brings out the taste of the ingredients. Of course, knowing what kind of ingredients are used makes meals more enjoyable. The owner is very knowledgeable about soba and has an Edo Sobalier certificate (private) to prove that he is a connoisseur of Edo soba. They also have sake produced in Tokyo, which was great.
